Know which cyber risks matter, and what to fix first.

Cyber Risk Solutions is an independent security advisory firm serving clients in the United States and Canada. We design secure architectures, assess organizational risk, and oversee the safe adoption of AI, drawing on more than a decade of hands-on offensive security work.

Services

Each engagement is scoped to your organization, your obligations, and the decisions you need to make.

Security architecture

Security designs for cloud and enterprise environments, built around the requirements you must meet and the tools you already rely on.

  • Architecture review and threat modeling
  • Segmented and isolated environment design
  • Control requirements sequenced into a phased plan
  • Vendor fit and implementation cost modeling

Risk assessment and mitigation

A clear picture of where your organization is exposed, and a prioritized plan to reduce that exposure.

  • Vulnerability assessment
  • Risk scoring and prioritization
  • Mitigation roadmap with owners and timelines
  • Alignment with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and similar frameworks

Secure M&A integration

Security due diligence before a deal closes, and a safe path to combining systems, data, and people after it does.

  • Security due diligence reviews
  • Integration security planning
  • Secure data migration
  • Post-merger risk assessment

AI security oversight

Independent oversight for AI systems you build or buy, so they stay secure, compliant, and accountable.

  • AI risk assessment
  • Model and pipeline security evaluation
  • Data privacy compliance
  • AI governance frameworks

AI security research and development

Custom automation for security and compliance teams, built on our applied research in AI for security.

  • Threat detection automation
  • AI-assisted security and compliance tooling
  • Custom security solutions
  • Research partnerships

How an engagement works

A predictable process, with findings you can act on and explain to your board.

  1. Scope

We agree on objectives, the systems in scope, constraints, and what a useful result looks like.

  2. Assess

Interviews, documentation review, and technical testing establish how things actually work today.

  3. Prioritize

Each finding is rated by likelihood and impact, so effort goes to the risks that matter most.

  4. Plan and support

You receive a written roadmap with owners and timelines, and support through remediation if you want it.

Principal-led, from first call to final report

Cyber Risk Solutions is led by Allison Wilson, who has worked in cybersecurity since 2015. Her background spans penetration testing, malware reverse engineering, security architecture, and senior advisory work on organizational risk.

Allison is also a PhD researcher at Simon Fraser University, where her work applies large language models to security compliance. Her research project, IntelliAudit, uses a multi-agent LLM pipeline to evaluate ISO 27001 audit controls and was assessed in a study with practising auditors. That research directly informs our AI security oversight and tooling work.

Allison leads every engagement directly. Where the scope calls for additional depth, we bring in vetted specialists who work under the same standards and confidentiality terms.

That mix of attacker experience and risk management is the point: we know how systems are actually compromised, and we translate that into decisions leadership can make.
